I’m Alex, nice to see you here Born and raised in Adelaide, Australia, Alexander Ioakim was exposed to music from a young age through his grandpa and uncle. He went onto study a Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Performance – Saxophone at the Elder Conservatorium at the University of Adelaide graduating with First Class Honours in 2015. Alex has studied in the USA under acclaimed musicians Ben Wendel, Walter Smith III and Will Vinson. Alex’s wide and varied freelance portfolio has seen him perform with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, musical theatre, cabaret and dance productions, as well as numerous jazz, funk, pop and soul bands across a variety of settings. Alex has over 10 years private instrumental teaching experience, privately and at various schools (primary and secondary). His teaching style is calm, structured, and focused, allowing students to achieve their best in an enjoyable atmosphere.
